SALES TOOLS: TIPS ON STAYING MOTIVATED WHILE PROSPECTING
Take breaks and stretch frequently to get reenergized.
Have a contest with other sales associates that sit near you on contacts, applications out, etc…..
Set daily goals for yourself; and if those goals are accomplished, reward yourself.
Use tracking forms to measure what you are doing because a monitored and measured performance will typically produce a better performance.
Remind yourself that selling is a numbers game and that in order to win you need to pick up the telephone and dial it again.
Keep visual reminders in your work area of what you are trying to achieve long term with your career both personally and professionally.
Stay with the motivated, positive sales associates.
Create the buddy system with another sales associate, or the whole team, where you have a daily or weekly meeting to hold each other accountable and share success stories.
Focus on your prospecting plan and not the prospecting plan of other sales associates. It can be very discouraging to see others experience early success without experiencing the pain that comes with prospecting.
Remember, the ten little words that can change your life and repeat them to yourself everyday, "If it is to be it is up to me."
