In athletics a “clutch-player” is
the player that competes well at critical moments
in a game. You know, the star basketball player
that sinks a 24-foot jump shot with just three
seconds left on the clock to win the game.
Or the quarterback that catapults a “Hail
Mary” pass to the wide receiver down
field, who then makes a valiant catch and runs
it in for the winning touchdown. In business,
the “clutch-salesperson” is just
as important.
This is a pivotal moment in
the sales cycle—the end of the year—where
the pressure is high to meet yearly targets.
